The EWI Works team has a solid background in ergonomics, with all consultants holding advanced degrees in core ergonomic disciplines. Each member has brought individual skills and knowledge to EWI Works, ensuring positive results for any organization seeking ergonomic advice to meet their workplace safety needs.
Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomists
ALL EWI ergonomic consultants are also members of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) as well as designated Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomists (CCPE).
Linda Miller, BSC, OT, MEDes, CCPE, CPE - President
Linda established EWI Works in 1991 & has extensive experience in large-scale ergonomic projects involving design reviews & training. Industries include healthcare, utilities, forestry, mining and manufacturing. For two decades, she has presented at health & safety conferences & teaches at the University of Alberta.
Erin Walkom, MSc. Ergonomics, CCPE, Edmonton
Erin graduated from Loughborough University, joining EWI in 2005. She providies ergonomic training, assessments, audits and job demands analyses in industries such as healthcare, all levels of government, education, as well as utilities & manufacturing.
Amy Chow, MSc. Kinesiology, Edmonton
Amy joined EWI in 2011 after completing her Master's in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. Amy's experience as an ergonomics researcher & practitioner in the automotive manufacturing & assembly, textile plants & office environments complements the rest of the EWI team.
Lorel Hammerstad - Executive Assistant, Communications Specialist
Lorel has a diploma in Public Relations and over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and office management. Lorel is also responsible for editing reports, providing desktop publishing and maintaining all EWI's communication materials.
Donald MacDonald, MSc. Ergonomics, CCPE, Calgary
Educated in Ergonomics at Loughborough University, Donald has been with EWI since 2002, providing in-house consulting, project management, and training to both industrial and office clients as well as teaching ergonomics courses at the University of Alberta & University of Calgary.
Kirsten Willms, MSc. Kinesiology, CCPE, Calgary
Kirsten joined EWI Works with a Masters in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. Adept in research, she specializes in ergonomics and occupational biomechanics. Kirsten provides ergonomic consulting, audits and assessments for municipal, educational, and industrial clients.
Ron Wardell, BA, MASc, PhD, CCPE, Calgary
Ron offers 27 years on experience in research, teaching and leading edge professional practice in ergonomics and human facors. He takes a holistic approach to solving health, safety and productivity problems for clients in telecommunications, the public sector and oil and gas.
